Born in Dayton, Ohio, Scott is a graduate of Heidelberg University with a Bachelor Degree in Sports Medicine. He is a Juvenile Parole Officer with the Ohio Department of Youth Services.
In 2018, he founded Mr. Scott’s Youth Drum Corps for youth ages 7-19 years old and serves as the Drum Instructor for the EN-RICH-MENT Drumline. He also serves as the facilitator of the ENRICHMENT Youth Leadership Program. In addition, Scott has a served as a percussionist at various churches and choirs since the age of 14. He is an advocate for Fatherhood Initiatives. Scott is a licensed Community Health Worker and enjoys working with at-risk youth, encouraging them to reach their goals while overcoming barriers. He is a subscribing Silver Life member of the NAACP and Drum Instructor for Jimmy’s Angels in Dayton, Ohio. Scott teaches CPR/First Aid to the community and owns a small business called Scott’s Center. He is married to Angela Barwick and is the father of Scott Barwick II who is 16 years old.
